Pride events including drag shows, concerts and performances are celebrated every year all over the UK, in many different cities and in person especially throughout Pride week.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, everything was cancelled as travelling and gathering were not permitted. That did not stop us from celebrating what is important and it did not hinder the spirit and mission of what Pride stands for. It is to remind all community members and allies that they are not alone but part of the LGBTQIA community, coming together as one voice to raise awareness and promote equality for all.

In 2020, the majority of Pride organisations moved their events online and created the first Virtual Pride!
Deaf Cymru Pride celebrated their first ever Virtual Pride in 2020 as ‘Wales Deaf LGBTQIA Pride’. We worked with Pride Cymru to create accessibility for the Deaf community and allow everyone to enjoy Virtual Pride week together!
